Panton Arms  |   Public House

Pentraeth, Anglesey, 2021

The Panton Arms is a mid-18th century, grade 2 listed pub in Pentraeth. It is a cosy pub with little nooks and crannies, low ceilings and a log fire that burns throughout the winter months. The landlord wanted the extension to offer a contrasting environment to the rest of the pub, creating a summer room that was light and spacious. We designed an open-plan space with a vaulted ceiling, skylights and large aperture glazing with views over the leafy beer garden. Simple larch timber board-on-board cladding creates a shadow relief and animates the facade. If you are ever in the area we would highly recommend checking out their tasty local ales and wood-fired pizzas.
